RECIPE: Bananarama Smoothie

Yes please! This is one delicious smoothie. I had a few ingredients lying around that needed to be used and I couldn’t think of a better way than to whip them up in a heavenly smoothie. This one had my tastebuds dancing and my heart singing.

Enter my bananarama smoothie.

In the time it would  take you to go for a a walk or drive to buy a smoothie, you could have made this one four times over. Plus it’s probably ten times healthier than the kind of smoothie you would buy at a typical take away cafe.

Go on, give it a go. I double dare you.

Serves: 2

Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

2 Medium sized Bananas (frozen)

1 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk

1/2 Avocado

1/2 Tablespoon Raw Organic Mesquite Powder

Small handful Strawberries

Small handful Raspberries

Coconut flakes (to garnish)

 

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a blender and pour into a wine glass for an extra fun way to drink your smoothie!

Garnish with coconut flakes and raspberries.

Mesquite powder stabilises blood sugar levels , is high in protein, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron and zinc.
It has a slightly nutty flavour with a hint of caramel. Smoothies are a great way to add mesquite into your diet.
