There are a few things in life that I am absolutely sure of and one of them is that coconut-anything makes me instantly happy.
This afternoon I needed a little pick-me-up so I decided to whip up this quick and delicious chic banana smoothie.
Rather than reaching for something that comes in a packet, a box or plastic wrapper, beat that afternoon slump and have a go at whipping up this tasty treat. I promise you’ll be full of beans instead.
Serves: 1
Time: 5 minutes
What you need:
3 ice cubes
1 Cup Organic Almond Milk (Choose one that has minimal sugar. Even organic products can still have a lot of nasties)
1 Medium Frozen Banana
1 Tablespoon Raw Cacao Powder
1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil
½ – 1 Tablespoon Raw Honey (depending on taste)
Sprinkle of Shredded Organic Coconut
Whip it Real Good:
Put all items into a blender
Blend until smooth and creamy
Pour into glass and garnish with coconut flakes
ENJOY!
*Note – I peel and chop up a few bananas, place them in an air tight container and store in the freezer so they can be thrown straight into a blender when it’s banana smoothie o’clock.
